Just like our clocks this weekend in the majority of the country, the housing market will soon “spring forward!” Similar to tension in a spring, the lack of inventory available for sale in the market right now is what is holding back the market.
Many potential sellers believe that waiting until Spring is in their best interest, and traditionally they would have been right.
Buyer demand has seasonality to it, which usually falls off in the winter months, especially in areas of the country impacted by arctic temperatures and conditions.
"Last year we decided to take advantage of the buyers market. Mark helped us navigate through the short sale process, get a great deal on a beautiful home in a great neighborhood. It was a long & frustrating process at times, but he helped us by dealing with attorney's, title companies, realtor's, etc. to help speed the process along. At the same time Mark listed the house we were currently living in. It was slow that summer getting buyers in. We decided to list the house as a rental as well. He found a renter that wanted to rent with the option to buy. So we quickly got someone in the house so it didn't have to sit vacant & in a few short months we sold the house. He made the selling/purchase process a much easier one. I was very relieved he was helping us. This whole process can get scary & frustrating & trying at times to say the very least. Having someone who has the years of experience & knowledge of the neighborhood & the whole process was a huge relief to myself & my husband. We are very happy to be settled in our home & in November celebrating 1 year since we moved into our new home!"
